Hand Sewn Loose Kirtle
Decorative woodcut in golden colors

This garment is a hand sewn loose kirtle, that was originally designed to be worn under a loose gown. I've yet to finish the loose gown so that will be documented separately. The kirtle pattern I used was Margo Anderson's Comfort Pattern, which is very close to an historical loose kirtle (and gown) discussed at great length in Janet Arnold's Pattern of Fashion book.
