Decorative woodcut in golden colors

Created: around October 22, 2007.

This is an embroidered photo album cover, that was created for my Barony's retiring Baroness, Alexandra Wylson of Inverness Wood. I was relatively new to the Barony, and the new Baroness asked for assistance in making the album for Baroness Alexandra's stepping down gift. I decided to make a special cover for the album, using the Barony's symbol of the Phoenix, with a Baroness crown above.

The phoenix is a gold metallic dupioni silk fabric appliqué, with a gold cord couched over the edges. A real garnet is the eye. The fire is a multi-colored sheer fabric gathered and sewn down. The crown is a small piece of ribbon, with faux pearls for the upper balls. The dates below are in gold thread, with a golden bead as the dash. All are directly embroidered onto a dark blue cotton velveteen cover custom fit to the purchased photo album.

The inside was filled with photos gathered from the populous.
